Due Diligence

Through the application of our unique screening methodology we ensure that you can donate with peace of mind, safe in the knowledge that your donation will be used as you expected.

Our approach to due diligence is straight forward and comprehensive. The first stage is designed to ensure that all potential recipients are legally, financially and reputationally sound. The second stage examines potential recipients in more detail to identify those with the capacity, skills and commitment to deliver real life-changing impacts in their specialist fields whether it be malaria prevention in Africa, environmental conservation in the United Kingdom or support for micro-enterprises in Asia.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

By looking at a wide range of indicators we ensure that you understand the risks associated with funding a particular charity or project. The risks may range from the experience of the charity, to risks of commencing a project in a particularly hazardous region. Those risks may well be worth taking if the social or environmental benefit is significant. What is important, is that there is accountability and transparency throughout the process and that the risks are understood at the outset.

We perform an initial risk assessment, we also design risk mitigation processes to reduce the overall risk, we have detailed problem management processes for if a problem does arise, and we clearly communicate the net inherant risk so that you fully understand the situation and can decide what level of real risk you are comfortable with.
